The Dynamo have used their position atop the MLS allocation order to add to their valuable stockpile of league assets.
Houston traded the No. 1 spot to D.C. United in exchange for allocation money, an international roster spot for the 2018-19 season and D.C. United's No. 9 spot in the allocation order.
Steve Goff of the Washington Post broke the news that there was a trade. League sources later confirmed the trade to the Chronicle and added the details.
Goff also reported that D.C. United used the No. 1 spot to acquire forward Deshorn Brown, who had been playing with the USL's Tampa Bay Rowdies after being sold by the Colorado Rapids to Chinese club Shenzen last summer.
