The women's soccer world seemed surprised by Australia's convincing romp through the Tournament of Nations.
Everyone, that is, except the Matildas – especially Dash goalkeeper Lydia Williams.
Australia won all three games at the round-robin competition hosted by the U.S. women's national team. The Matildas opened with a 1-0 win over the U.S. and then scored 10 goals in victories over Japan and Brazil.
The U.S. had a glimmer of hope of coming back for the tournament title on the final night, but Australia crushed those aspirations by scoring six times against one of last summer's Olympic semifinalists.
