Kealia Ohai has parlayed the hottest two months of her soccer career into her biggest opportunity.
The third-year Dash forward was called up to the United States Womens' National Team for the first time Thursday for two friendlies against Switzerland later this month.
Ohai scored 11 goals in the Dash's final 10 games after not scoring any in the first 10. She came one assist shy of sharing the NWSL's Golden Boot award with Western New York's Lynn Williams, who also scored 11.
Before the Dash's final regular season game Sept. 25, coach Randy Waldrum said Ohai deserved an opportunity on the biggest stage.
