The Dash this week took a key step in solidifying part of their talented core by agreeing to a new contract with Brazilian midfielder Andressa.
Managing director Brian Ching on Wednesday afternoon said the club was awaiting confirmation from the NWSL office that the contract had been signed. As is the case with most league contracts, it is a two-year deal with a club option for the second year.
"In talking with her agent, she had more lucrative opportunities to go overseas," Ching said. "She wants to be here."
Andressa, 21, has 21 caps with the Brazilian National Team, including a start in all four games during the 2015 World Cup.
