Melissa Henderson has done this before. This time, she said, it is for good.
The Dash forward announced Wednesday morning that she will retire from professional soccer after four-plus seasons.
She has appeared in 48 matches in her NWSL career. One of those appearances came this year in a 19-minute shift off the bench.
Henderson retired following the 2015 season but returned before the 2016 season. She said this time it was an easy decision.
"The hard part is leaving a team and organization I love and have so much respect for," she said.
