Houston Dash forward Bridgette Andrzejewski announced her retirement from professional soccer earlier today. Andrzejewski spent one year with Houston after she was drafted with the ninth pick in the second round (18th overall) of the 2020 NWSL College Draft.
Andrzejewski joined Houston after a four-year career at the University of North Carolina, where she scored 28 goals and tallied 21 assists. The forward started in 93 of 101 appearances with the Tar Heels, bringing versatility in the right-wing as well as in the midfield.
The Lutherville, Maryland native made her NWSL debut with Houston in the first game of the 2020 Fall Series when she started against North Carolina Courage on Sept.
