The Dash were frustrated after conceding a late tying goal in their most recent game and took swings at the officiating after the game.
On Thursday, the NWSL hit back.
The league fined the Dash an undisclosed amount for comments critical of match officials after Saturday's game against Portland Thorns FC. The league cited comments made by interim coach Omar Morales in the post-game press conference and by midfielder Amber Brooks on Twitter.
The Dash also incurred a separate fine for an inappropriate gesture (middle finger) made by Brooks after the game.
