For most of the last two months, Dash coach Randy Waldrum has been on cloud nine thinking about going into training camp with a roster he finally feels is fit to challenge for an NWSL playoff berth.
The roster took a bit of a hit Wednesday morning when Manchester City officially announced the signing of Dash forward and two-time reigning world player of the year Carli Lloyd to a short-term contract.
Lloyd will play with the English club through the Football Association's Women's Super League Spring Series and the UEFA Champions League final, if it gets that far.
