It's now or never for Randy Waldrum.
As architect of one of the NCAA's greatest soccer programs at Notre Dame, Waldrum is no stranger to success. The Dash coach has not carried it over to the professional level, however. In three seasons, he has a 17-34-13 record and zero playoff berths.
Last year's eighth-place finish out of 10 was especially troubling because, before the season began, he sat in front of the media and said the roster finally was good enough to make a serious run at the four-team postseason.
Despite the struggles, he was given a one-year extension to his original three-year contract.
