The Houston Dash acquired defender Deneisha Blackwood, the team announced today. Blackwood signed a one-year contract that will see the defender remain in Houston through the 2021 season, with the Dash holding an option to extend the contract through 2022.
“We are pleased to add Deneisha to the squad and help her fulfill her full potential,” said head coach James Clarkson. “She adds depth to out left side and will fit well with the style of play.”
Blackwood, 23, spent the 2020 Fall Series with the Orlando Pride making appearances in all four games and finished with 196 minutes.
