Move over Mia Hamm. Christine Sinclair is all by herself in second place now.
Sinclair, the 32-year old Canadian legend, scored a landmark goal in the Canucks' 6-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago Sunday in CONCACAF Olympics qualifying at BBVA Compass Stadium.
The tally was Sinclair's 159th international goal, breaking a tie with Hamm, who helped put women's soccer on the map in the United States in the 1990s. The only player ahead of Sinclair is recently retired American Abby Wambach, who scored 184.
"It's so nice to get it off my back," Sinclair said. "I went a couple of games without scoring a goal, and it was weighing on me a little bit.
