The Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced that Houston will host a Group A doubleheader at BBVA Compass Stadium on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 as part of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage.
This marks the third consecutive edition of the tournament in which BBVA Compass Stadium will serve as a host venue for the Gold Cup. Previous editions of the tournament have been held at the stadium in 2013 and 2015.
“We are proud to host the CONCACAF Gold Cup at BBVA Compass Stadium for a third straight cycle,” said president Chris Canetti.
