The older age groups of the Houston Dynamo Academy faced a two-game weekend in Colorado this past weekend, taking on Real Colorado on Saturday followed by Colorado Rush on Sunday, while the U-13 and U-14 teams traveled to San Antonio in U.S. Soccer Development Academy action.
U-19 — Loss 3-2 at Real Colorado, Win 6-1 at Colorado Rush: Marcelo Palomino and Jesus Ortiz scored in the first match of the weekend, but Real Colorado scored in the 90th minute to pull out a win. Ortiz and Palomino scored again against Rush, as well as four more Dynamo players – Devin Benton, Roberto Hernandez, Jalen Anderson, and Heriberto Soto – in the 6-1 rout.
