The Spring 2019 US Soccer Development Academy season kicked off for the Dynamo Academy’s older teams last weekend, with the Under-15s, U-17s and U-19s all taking on Texans SC in College Station. The boys in orange went 2-1 against Texans, with the 15s notching a 3-1 victory and the 19s winning 3-2 while the 17s dropped a close 2-1 decision.
The Under-19 side emerged victorious thanks in large part to the exploits of captain Jesse Ortiz. After training with the Dynamo First Team and RGV FC for two weeks, the midfielder returned to action against his peers like a seasoned pro, scoring a hat trick in the 3-2 decision.
