Only two spots are left to fill for the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League.
Atlanta United earned their place in next year’s continental championship by virtue of clinching the best aggregate record in the United States across the 2017 and 2018 MLS regular seasons. With the addition of Atlanta, 14 of the available 16 spots have been claimed. The 2018 MLS Cup champion and winner of the 2018 CONCACAF League will fill the remaining two spots.
The Dynamo earned their fifth trip to the Champions League by winning the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and first since the 2013-14 edition.
