So Case Keenum wasn’t the savior for the St. Louis Rams after all.
Who would’ve guessed?
Keenum’s starting debut with the Rams looked a lot like the player he replaced, Nick Foles, in a 16-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
The former Houston Texans quarterback, who the Rams traded a seventh-round pick to re-acquire this offseason, Keenum completed just 12 of 26 passes (46.2 percent) for 136 yards, with one touchdown and a QB rating of 75.2.
Asked afterward to assess the quarterback’s performance, Rams coach Jeff Fisher pointed to the offense’s challenges and struggles.
