Forward Reggie Chaney, who spent the past two seasons with Arkansas, has officially been added to the Houston men’s basketball roster and will sit out the 2020-21 season as a redshirt.
The 6-foot-8-inch forward had been expected to apply for a waiver that would have granted him immediate eligibility for 2020-21, but the team said he will sit out this coming season instead. He will still have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in the 2021-22 season.
“That thing that impressed us about Reggie was that his style of play is very similar to our style of play.
