The UH Football locker room in the Athletics/Alumni Center is undergoing a $1 million facelift this summer as the program continues to bolster its reputation among the top schools in the nation.

“(The players) deserve to be treated first class and to have as first class of a facility as we can give them at this point,” said Head Football Coach Tom Herman.

According to a news release, the project is being funded by donations. Besides unnamed donors, the Houston Cougar Foundation contributes to the majority to the upgrade with $750,000.

Demolition is already underway and the football program hopes that the makeover will be completed prior to the Cougars’ training camp in August.
