The 24th-ranked baseball team will return home this weekend to take on conference rival University of Central Florida.
The Cougar’s last game on Tuesday against McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana proved difficult for the Cougars who fell 4-1 to the Cowboys, bringing their overall record to 17-11.
Conference play hasn’t been much gentler for the Cougars who opened to a loss and now sit at 1-2.
Friday’s game against UCF will be UH’s first conference game at home, and returning home should be beneficial for the Cougars. UH is 13-4 in games at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park, as opposed to a 4-7 record in games away from home.
