Cougars 2016 recruiting class picking up steam

The Houston Cougars have had a great season on the field, and now the team is seeing it pay dividends in recruiting.

UH picked up their second four-star recruit commitment of the offseason on Thursday when wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland verbally committed to the Cougars.

Cleveland will be staying home to play his college football, as he currently attends Westfield High School in the Houston area.

He is also ranked as the 10th best player in Texas and is the 20th recruit in the Cougars upcoming class.

Cleveland joins other star recruits Ed Oliver, also out of Westfield, who is a five-star defensive tackle that will bolster the Cougars defense, and wide receiver Courtney Lark, a four-star wide receiver out of Bellaire.
