In the final game of a three-game series to open up the second half of the season, the Astros couldn’t complete the sweep of the Mariners and, once again, fell back to just a few percentage points up on the M’s for first in the AL West. After being at the top of the division for the first time all year, Ronel Blanco came out and, again, showed his slow regression he has been on over his past few outings. After winning the first two games with relative ease thanks to the Mariners only managing to put up two runs in the two games thanks to great pitching from Hunter Brown, Framber Valdez and the entire bullpen, they came out and slugged their way to a win.
