It was an easy choice. But it had to be done anyways. Houston Astros center fielder George Springer is the 2017 World Series MVP.
Springer, 28, win the first edition of the award now named the Willie Mays World Series MVP award. It is only fitting the award goes to a center fielder in the first year.
Springer went .379 (11-for-29) with five home runs and seven RBIs. Springer’s numbers was a far cry from his start where he went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Game 1. Springer hit a home runs in four straight games, it was first time in a single series in MLB Series.
