Cesar Geronimo was born in El Seibo, Dominican Republic. With the Astros for the first three years of his career, he was a part of the infamous Joe Morgan lead, sending him to Cincinnati. He ended up staying with the Reds for nearly 10 seasons, holding down their center field spot.
