2001 - Deshaies receives a vote

Former left-hander and broadcaster Jim Deshaies received a vote on the Hall of Fame ballot courtesy of sportswriter John Lopez. As an Astro, Deshaies threw seven years, going 61-59 with a 3.67 ERA as part of his 12 year career. He later went on to be a broadcaster for the team from 1997-2012.

2020 - Beltran gets his punishment

After signing to be their manager in November 2019, Carlos Beltran is handed his punishment for his involvement in the Astros cheating scandal during the 2017 season, getting let go by the Mets.
