1975 - Astros introduce rainbow unis

Shaking the world of baseball fashion at the time and laying the groundwork for other clubs to do different colored jerseys, the Astros introduced their famous rainbow uniforms in a 6-2 season opening win over the Atlanta Braves.

1979 - Ken Forsch no-hitter

In a game against the Atlanta Braves, Astros pitcher Ken Forsch fires a no-hitter en-route to a 6-0 win. Stuck in bed for days before the game, Forsch only needed just over 100 pitches to get the win, striking out three and walking two.
