The Hooks get some help in the bullpen

Today, the Houston Astros have assigned20-year-old, right-hander, Juan Carlos Santos to the Corpus Christi Hooks from the Tri-City Valley Cats.

Santos was selected by the Houston Astros in the 39th round of the 2013 Draft out of Arlington County Day, Florida High School.After two seasons in rookie ball, Santos played the 2015 season with the Tri-City ValleyCats, appearing in 20 games, posting a record of 0-0 with a 3.16 ERA picking up two saves in three save opportunities.He struck out 28 batters in 25.2 innings, holding opponents to a .161 batting average.

Santos will be working out of the Hooks bullpen as a middle reliever, who may get an opportunity for a save, from time to time.
