The Houston Astros’ 2015 season has been a magical ride for the city of Houston thus far. Although the 2015 Astros have often been chastised for their “boom or bust” approach, the team is within reach of the record books. With a few more home runs from a couple of players, the Astros will be the first team in MLB history with 12 different players in double-digit home run totals.
If Marwin Gonzalez goes deep one more time, and Jed Lowrie 4 more times, Astros can set major league record with 12 double-digit players.

On Friday night, Hank Conger etched the 2015 team’s spot in the Houston record books with a fourth-inning grand slam to put the Astros up 7-0 as he became the 10th player on the team to reach 10 home runs on the season – a first in Astros history.
