Cora fills the void left by Trey Hillman, who was hired by SK Wyverns of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Cora, a Puerto Rico native, was drafted by the Twins in the 1993 MLB Draft but opted to play for the University of Miami, where he reached the College World Series three times. He was drafted by the Dodgers in '96 and made his Major League debut on June 7, 1998.
After seven years with the Dodgers, Cora signed as a free agent with the Indians in 2005 and was traded to Boston, where he won a World Series in '07.
