The Houston Astros pay a visit to the Seattle Mariners for three games to open part two of the season. This is the third time these two have played a series this year, with the Mariners holding a 5-2 edge. They’ll play three more times near the end of September at Minute Maid Park.
Seattle topped the Astros three times in four games near the end of May. In the series finale, Spencer Arrighetti (3-5, 5.98) earned the win with six shutout innings, with eight strikeouts and only two hits surrendered. Alex Bregman (6) got Houston on the board with a two-run fourth-inning homer, then Victor Caratini (3) added an insurance solo homer in the fifth.
