HOUSTON -- Daz Cameron, the son of former Major League outfielder Mike Cameron, was selected by the Astros with the No. 37 overall pick in Monday's Draft out of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Ga.
Cameron, an outfielder ranked as the No. 6 Draft prospect by MLB.com, fell out of the first round perhaps because of a high asking price, but the Astros have the most money to spend out of any team in the Draft. He's committed to Florida State.
The Astros took LSU shortstop Alex Bregman with the No. 2 pick and Tampa, Fla.
