Rookie Preston Tucker earned his third consecutive start and second in a row in left field Saturday evening against the Blue Jays.
To keep Tucker in the lineup, Astros manager A.J. Hinch sat center fielder Jake Marisnick and moved Colby Rasmus to center from his usual spot in left.
When asked about sitting Marisnick, Hinch flipped the question.
“It’s also a day to play for Tucker,” Hinch said. “It kind of goes hand and hand. We’re going to get creative and keep some hot bats in there. I’ve been looking for a day off for Jake a while.
