It was a short night for Astros rookie Lance McCullers, center, who managed to record just one out while surrendering six first-inning runs in Monday’s ugly loss to the Rangers.

ARLINGTON – Fans were still settling into their seats at Globe Life Park on Monday night when the Rangers knocked rookie righthander Lance McCullers out of the contest in the bottom the first inning Monday night.
By the third inning, the Astros were on their third pitcher. And by the fifth, the Rangers’ Adrian Beltre had already hit for the cycle to become just the fourth player in major league history to hit for the cycle three times in his career.
