Rising Star, Chan-Jong Moon to make his season debut tonight

Infielder Chan-Jong Moon is set to make his season debut in tonight’s game against the Midland RockHounds, batting ninth and playing shortstop in Rodney Linares’ lineup. Moon batted .272 with 53 runs, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs, 29 RBIs and 22 steals in 100 games for Lancaster, Corpus Christi and Fresno last year.

The 24-year-old switch-hitter began the year with the JetHawks, hitting safely in 12 of his 15 California League assignments. He engineered an 8-game hit streak leading up to his Texas League debut May 2. Moon went 4-for-4 with 2 runs, 1 double, 1 homer and 3 RBIs May 6 vs.
