Quinton McCracken, the Astros farm director, will interview with the Red Sox for Boston’s general manager position, the Chronicle has confirmed.
McCracken’s news (first reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports) comes on the same day that Astros assistant GM David Stearns was officially announced as Milwaukee’s new GM.
McCracken, who went to Duke and played 12 big league seasons, is another part of the smart front office that Jeff Luhnow has put together in Houston.
