ARLINGTON — Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre on Monday became only the fourth player in major league history to hit for the cycle three times in his career.
Beltre took advantage of the Astros’ disastrous pitching performance Monday night in the first game of the three-game series at Globe Life Park.
He hit a two-run triple to center field in the first inning against rookie righthander Lance McCullers during the Rangers’ six-run frame.
