After dropping two series to Peoria and Kane County, the club will travel to Burlington to take on the Bees.
This past week saw some very good play from a few of the Astros top prospects. Last year’s first round selection, P Forrest Whitley, made his debut for the River Bandits. He got the win while pitching five innings of one-hit baseball. Whitley stuck out six and walked two allowing zero runs.
An 18-11 victory against Wisconsin on April 9 was fueled by two Quad Cities grand slams. First Baseman Stephen Wrenn led off the scoring hitting a first-inning grand slam.
