The legend of Preston Tucker grows with every game. He has only played in 13 games thus far with the Astros, but he has already left his mark. On Thursday, he hit a pinch-hit solo home run in the ninth inning off Tigers closer Joakim Soria to tie the game.
Today, Tucker pinch-hit for Jake Marisnick in the sixth inning. The Astros had two runners on and were down three. The count was 2-1, Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez threw a 80 mph changeup. Tucker reached back and crushed the pitch, dropping to one knee and flipping the bat all in one motion.
