The plans to name an Arizona highway after former Astros pitcher Randy Johnson have been shelved.

The about-face came after the family of the late Pfc. Lori Piestewa objected to the name change. The state had renamed State Route 51 to honor Piestewa, who was killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
