Last night the Hooks were shutout by the Midland RockHounds in a 13-0 loss, which established new season highs for runs (13) and hits (17) allowed. The 13-run setback was also the most lopsided loss for Corpus Christi this year. The previous high was 7, April 28 vs. Midland. Of the Hooks’ 14 defeats this year, 8 have been decided by 2 runs or less.
This all coming after a night of us watching them matching their season high for hits (12), extra-base hits (5) and home runs (3), the Hooks were dealt their 2nd shutout loss of the season.
