MLB, union set new policy on domestic violence

Major League Baseball and the player’s union reached a joint policy on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse on Friday.

“In light of a lot of things that have been going on in a lot sports, baseball took it upon ourselves to update our policies and make sure that we have the things in order to aid in situations that may arise,” said Jason Castro, the Astros’ player rep. “Not only is it kind of put in in a discipline structure, but it also aims to get help to people that are in these situations on either side of the situation.
