McHugh out at least 6 weeks with elbow injury

Astros right-hander Collin McHugh will be shut down for six weeks because of posterior impingement of his right elbow, the club announced Saturday afternoon.

McHugh began the 2017 regular season on the 10-day disabled list because of tendinitis in his right shoulder. He made a rehab start Thursday at Triple-A Fresno, but he departed after the first inning after feeling tightness in his elbow and biceps.

"We expected him to go five innings," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said Friday. "It certainly caused him to come home. It's unfortunate that he had a little setback. He didn't finish his outing, so we're certainly disappointed for him.
