McCullers has 'no worries' about foot injury

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. left Sunday's 4-3 win over the Yankees in the fourth inning with right foot skin irritation. The right-hander worked through 3 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits in a 6-4 loss. He struck out five and walked two.

The hardness of the mound in front of the rubber at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches eventually rubbed a hole in McCullers' shoe, exposing his foot, which in turn rubbed raw and started bleeding.

"It's like if you would fall on the ground and scrape your knee on the sidewalk," McCullers said of the injury.
