Catcher Max Stassi made his first start of the season on Sunday morning, a day after he hit his first career home run.
“It was more giving (Jason) Castro a break,” Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. “It’s probably been a little difficult having Castro catch three games in a row off the DL (with a right quad strain)… Stassi swung the bat very well. (Hank) Conger’s been dealing a little bit with a lingering shoulder soreness.”
Hinch said Conger is day to day.
“At this point in the season if you’re not dealing with some sort of ailment, you probably haven’t been here long enough,” Hinch said.
