The Astros swept the Arlington Rangers today in four games in impressive fashion, breaking open the game in the eighth inning with a barrage of hits scoring four runs. Lance McCullers threw six shutout innings, handing the Stros a 6-2 win.
The Astros opened the scoring in the first inning after Michael Brantley singled with two outs against starter Kyle Gibson and advanced to second on a wild pitch. He scored on an Alex Bregman single.
The Astros added a run in the fifth inning when Carlos Correa hit into a one-out ground out with the bases loaded, scoring Chas McCormick, who walked earlier.
