Late Barrage and McCullers Gem Give Astros the 4-Game Sweep Over the Rangers for 6th Straight Win

The Astros swept the Arlington Rangers today in four games in impressive fashion, breaking open the game in the eighth inning with a barrage of hits scoring four runs. Lance McCullers threw six shutout innings, handing the Stros a 6-2 win.

The Astros opened the scoring in the first inning after Michael Brantley singled with two outs against starter Kyle Gibson and advanced to second on a wild pitch. He scored on an Alex Bregman single.

The Astros added a run in the fifth inning when Carlos Correa hit into a one-out ground out with the bases loaded, scoring Chas McCormick, who walked earlier.
