With the deadline passed, the Astros landed two arms, but one came at a MUCH higher price than the other.
The Astros received left-handed pitcher Yusei Kikuchi in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays that brought him to Houston to round out the rotation for the remainder of the year. In return the Astros sent over their former No. 1 pitching prospect Jake Bloss, young and talented outfielder Joey Loperfido and top 15 prospect Will Wagner.
Now, for such a steep price, you would think that Kikuchi would be at least a slightly above average arm with some contract control, right?
