I think the Astros bats will figure this thing out by Opening Day. Just a feeling I got.
The Astros' otherwise dormant hitting showed signs of life this evening against the Cardinals, featuring a fifth-inning solo homer by Jose Altuve. Possible back-up 1B Taylor Jones added a game-tying solo homer in the eighth. And Yordan Alvarez got the Astros on the board in the fourth with his first hit of the Spring, an RBI rocket through the shift.
Altuve had two hits, Michael Brantley, Yordan Alvarez, and Carlos Correa all had one each. Kyle Tucker walked twice and scored on a sixth-inning pitching error on an Abraham Toro grounder.
