While Astros fans may wonder how the Astros will get by with shortstop Carlos Correa still in the minors, Jed Lowrie’s trying to learn how to get by without his right hand.
The shortstop came by Minute Maid Park during the last homestand with bandages still on his right hand following surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. There was a slight red food stain on the bandage (which looked firm enough to be a cast) because life with only one hand is trying.
“I think that’s the hardest thing. As you can see, I got lasagna stains on it,” Lowrie said.
