Jed Lowrie contributed Sunday with a double and a run scored, but manager A.J. Hinch said he may rest the veteran infielder Monday at Arlington as he continues to adjust to playing after a long injury absence.
“I probably won’t go more than three days in a row without giving him a day off,” the manager said. “Some of that is psychical for Jed. Some of it is juggling how to play (Luis) Valbuena, (Chris) Carter or (Marwin) Gonzalez.
“We were thin earlier in the year, and now we seem to have a bunch of guys that deserve more playing time, and so to do that, some guys are going to have to sit.
