The Houston Astros are looking like their old selves now that the bulk of roster is back in the fold from injury. With George Springer, Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve missing extensive time away from the team, the potent offense that this team is known for seemed futile through the stretch.
What I expected to see was what happened — we’d still be able to win a bit but a lot of narrow losses. In fact, for the month of August, out of the Houston Astros‘ 10 losses, six of them were by two runs or less so that goes to show the offense was putting up just enough to stay in games but not enough to put themselves over the top.
