The Houston Astros have had a very solid bullpen for the last couple of seasons. It has seen names come and go but has remained near the top of the league in all categories. A lot of that goes to the pitchers, obviously, but some credit needs to go to Brent Strom.
Strom is a wizard with pitchers and has been able to get the most out of the majority of his pitchers. Even a future Hall of Famer in Justin Verlander saw improvements under Strom’s tutelage. A lot of the relievers, who are very good in their own right, have also seen jumps in success.
